About Me

CURRENT MISSION

That urgency -- maintain.

ABOUT ME

I earn useless degrees and spend my days in coffee shops and libraries. I'll push you on your beliefs/ideals and we'll both be more informed by the end of it. Coffee junkie. Red wine. Whisky. Supposed to be a journalist, but I get tired of dealing with snarky dinosaurs. A writer. A drinker with a writing problem. A problem with a drunken MacBook. A running robot god. Don't be put off by this description - I'm an excellent guy.http://ny-dimes.com/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

These days - I host, and occasionally attend a local meet-up.

I've also created a Google Map of affordable places to stay in NYC for surfers in a serious bind: http://bit.ly/hnp0zg

I recommend you take a look at it even if you've already found a couch here. You never know what might happen or how plans might fall through. Just briefly cross-reference your host's place with the hub from which you'll be arriving, and then maybe take a look at the nearest hostels to the place you'll be surfing. Ladies, please take a look at this if you're surfing alone (and especially if you've gone through the Last Minute Couch Request group) - always remember that you have options, and there's no need to stay at someone's place if they're making you feel uncomfortable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took a nap on Machu Picchu and then sprinted down to Aguas Calientes with a crazy Aussie and a lanky Swede.

Celebrated Fidel Castro's 80th birthday on Havana's famous Malecon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can write for you. I can give you notes on your own writing. I can edit your work. Hell, let's just talk literature.

I also play an inspiring game of pool.
