Hey all! I am an athlete and outdoors man from California, USA where I worked as a lifeguard. I moved to Thailand in 2012 to be with my girlfriend where I got certified in teaching English and I've been teaching here ever since! I work with environmental organization on the side and I've had internships with Greenpeace: South East Asia as well as the Thai Government. When I'm not teaching or doing environmental work, I'm traveling.

When I travel, I focus mostly on meeting locals, immersing myself in the culture of the country, and exploring its natural wonders. From my experience of living with my girlfriend's family when I moved to Thailand, I learned that living with locals is one of the best ways to understand a countries culture and I really look forward to learning about your country from you!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If your a host, please don't make people 'jump through etiquette and grammar hoops' for you. I don't expect others to do that and neither should you. I'm here because I love helping out people. I'm here to spend part of my life giving FREE tours of Ayutthaya and also visiting yours! I expect nothing in return. It's really egotistical when some hosts on here act like they are a King and require people to write a well throughout paper. Dudes! This is about meeting people, it's not a job interview. Relax. In Thailand, with me, you will travel around this ancient temple-spotted river city like a local Thai. It's all about smiles and having a good time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done was rescue a tourist who had an asthma attack in open water during a vacation to Koh Similan Islands, Thailand. I love to help people and as a former lifeguard of 7 years, I find myself rescuing someone on almost every trip. Tour companies really should train their workers in first aid and rescue.
