About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Lifestyle Traveler

ABOUT ME

Retired couple since 2000. Spent the 1st 10 years of retirement cruising a sailboat in the Caribbean...ala Jimmy Buffett style. Sold the boat in 2011 and now make a point of living in one or two different countries each year. Always try to never return to the same place twice and avoid the Gringo Trails when possible.

PHILOSOPHY
Try to do the best to fit in wherever I live....not leave too big a footprint....and if there is a chance to help someone without ruining it for those that follow I will...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Always the self-sufficient traveler I occasionally need local advice. There have been a couple of times I've been given a couch and on those rare times I was able to make lifelong friends. Love the CS concept. Should be one of those favorite links on everyones device.....imho, Ken

Interests

We also have a blog (that's never up to date) that lets our family and friends know what we've been up to.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This would be one of those "too many to describe categories" for me. But if I had to make a choice for one special moment it would be getting married to the right woman in the justice dept. of a small Mexican beach village in 1984 that ranks as the most important moment in my life. I learned a long time ago that being able to share your traveling experience with someone is the best part of travel. Being able to share it with someone you love...even better.

If we become friends I'd certainly be open to telling you all my stories if you are interested and would hope you'd share yours.
