About Me
Hey guys !
I have previously studied Psychology, before I transferred to a double degree in Commerce and Economics, which I am currently finishing. I am specialising in Finance, Economics, and Information Systems.
I work on the side as a bartender at the local cinemas. In three words I would describe myself as confident, fun, and adventurous. I do enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures, so hey, why not Couchsurf!
Philosophy-wise, there are three main ones of the top of my head that I live by - One is that you determine your own happiness yourself, and two - that the present moment is all that you have - and three - that life is what you make of it :) I tend to enjoy all the ups and downs of life, as you never realise the highs without the lows. I guess I can keep going but should probably stop here and keep it somewhat short!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Whilst backpacking around Japan, I met a really nice bloke from America who was telling me about all the experiences he had hosting and holding events for Couchsurfers. What I found out from my backpacking travels is that most of the people you meet in hostels and such are foreigners and tourists, and you do not get much of a chance to experience real local culture. I am quite interested to see what this is like, as I love meeting new people and sharing stories, experiences, culture, and knowledge.
Interests
At the moment, I go to salsa and muay thai classes, play guitar, and hit the gym. I love intellectual discussions. I also love skiing and snowboarding, as well as getting outdoors and travelling as much as I can. But what I love even more is food. I'm a bit of a foodie, and I know the ins and outs of eating out in Sydney, which is definitely a plus!
I am also quite into self-improvement, reading, and try to meditate regularly (or as regularly as I can remember to!). I blog at least 750 words a day as a challenge in order to improve my writing skills, and how my thoughts translate cohesively into words on paper.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a varied taste in music; from back in the days where Punk Rock (Fall Out Boy, Escape the Fate, Simple Plan, Green Day) was in, to Rock and Alternative, to Hip Hop and R&B when I started learning dancing, and now primarily mainstream pop music and EDM (Calvin Harris, Zedd). Still do enjoy listening to a variety of everything these days though :) Funnily enough, I know all the lyrics to Utada Hikaru - First Love (A japanese song - even though I don't know what they mean entirely!)
At the moment, some of my favourite songs are Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud, Tove Lo - Habits, Wiz Khalifa - See You Again, and Maroon 5 - Sugar.
I work at a cinema in Sydney and generally get to watch movies for free :) If you're lucky, I might take you to watch some movies! Haha. My favourite movie of all time is Fight Club, and some notable recent mentions are Guardians of the Galaxy, Kingsman, and Interstellar.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking through Japan. Such a huge culture shock, with great experiences and meeting amazing people on the way :) Explored many places, from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and the sadness of Hiroshima , to Kobe for the mouthwatering Wagyu beef and Okunoshima Island to see the countless numbers of cute rabbits.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a professionally Events and Nightlife photographer, so I can share a bit on what I do and can possible help you improve your photography ability. I am fluent in English, and can also help you practice that. If dancing tickles your pickle, I can teach you salsa, breakdancing, popping, locking, and maybe some bodyrolls ! haha. Or if you like drinking, I do know how to make a few interesting drinks. I do believe I also give some great advice and insight if that's what you happen to be after :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with hosts my knowledge and unique entertaining personality, which I believe is quite fun :) . I can share my experiences, stories, and Australian culture, and help practice your English!
Countries I’ve Visited
China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea
