ABOUT ME

Hello world - We are Ken and Alanna from Philadelphia. We are both 25 years old, and will be growing old together forever. We couldn't be more different from one another, but are always having the time of our lives. Ken works as a paralegal at a lawfirm (he hates his job), and Alanna works as a nurse in an Intensive care unit (she loves her job, and has wild stories to tell, always). Ken studied philosophy, and tries to read EVERYTHING. He enjoys electronic music, rock, and jazz. Alanna is always friendly and full of energy. She loves to knit, do crossword puzzles, and figure out wacky ways to decorate our apartment. We have dreams of working internationally in some capacity, to help people somewhere in some way. We'll see how that goes...

Together we love to cook, eat, drink, and travel as often as we can. We have a pet chihuahua named Budgie that is always ready for company, and we have a bunch of great friends in the city who would love to hang out as well.

PHILOSOPHY

Some strange, unpolished combination of freedom of self and the importance satisfaction at the highest levels in all facets of life, obligation to one's fellow man, and wrecklesness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ken hosted several groups of people and surfed all around central Europe. He has remained in touch with lots of my travel friends and have hosted them/their friends years afterward. Alanna is a NEWBIE to couchsurfing, but is eager to see what the deal is. Plus, she loves having people around to cook for and to learn new recipes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ken met a family on my way to Uruguay who invited me to stay with them. They ended up being champion horse breeders and invited him to a horse auction where he sat next to the president of the country and other high rollers. It was random and really cool.
