My first taste of travel was as a Rotary International youth exchange student at 16 years of age. I lived in Germany for one year with a host family. Now I'm always seeking another opportunity to travel, learn languages, improve my photography skills, and talk about travel! I studied International Relations at High Point University located in North Carolina, USA. Now I teach English in Belarus with the Fulbright program. I'm really good at getting lost and laughing at my mistakes. Travel my greatest passion. I hope to meet you and explore your city, or show you mine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the idea of staying in a home (or apartment, condo, etc.) while on the road. Houses can make a strange place familiar! Hotels are expensive and, as a solo traveler, can be lonely to come home to every night. I always seem to have bad luck with hostels and would rather stay away. Overall, Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet locals who can also help make a strange place more familiar. I'm excited to be here!
