About Me
*Disclaimer: please only make stay requests that are less than two weeks out. My schedule changes constantly and I’m not able to accept guests whose requests are weeks away. 1-2 nights preference. From my CS experience I know how tough it can be to find a female host, so I prioritize solo female travelers’ requests. I will not accept requests from couples or older men. Thanks for your understanding!
Candela, Kendall, whichever is easier for you :) Hello fellow travelers! I’m a Spanish girl from Miami living in Washington DC. After graduating college last year, I spent a year backpacking through Europe and North Africa. I was lucky enough to get into couchsurfing and had some of my best experiences thanks to my hosts. Now that I’m back stateside and settled down (for now) in my own place, I want to give back to the community that gave me so much. I’m a really chill person and always down to have a good time. I’m very loud, extroverted and social, I love trying new things and experiences :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The people!
Interests
Traveling (duh), futbol, photography, languages, running, yoga, meditating, cooking any and every type of ethnic food, trying traditional food, and good beer!
Music, Movies, and Books
I absolutely loooooove Reggaeton, and lots of other types of Spanish music. I can definitely show you the good stuff if you’re interested!!
TV&Movies: La Casa De Papel, 3msc y tengo ganas de ti, anything with Mario Casas, Monty Python, Broad City, Silicon Valley, Rick and Morty.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Solo backpacked through Europe for a year, snorkeled in the Gulf of Mexico, spent a summer camping on the beaches of Morocco, walked across the frozen Neva river in Russia, hiked through the Scottish highlands, jumped in the Baltic Sea in the middle of winter.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m open and willing to teach what I know, mainly Spanish culture, good Spanish music, life in the US, how to have a good time in DC, and my travels. If anyone is planning/doing solo backpacking and needs advice, I’m always open to answering questions. I’m looking forward to learning about new cultures and languages from the travelers I meet! I can share what I’ve learned while traveling; a good list of do’s and don’ts.
I’d love to learn from surfers who have backpacked/traveled through South America and Asia, because those are my next stops.
What I Can Share with Hosts
