Overview
About Me
I'm an adventurer, always looking to meet new people and experience new things! I'm a theatre technician and arts manager, proficient in Spanish, and I never miss an opportunity to go swing dancing. I currently call San Jose home, but I reside in lots of places, as work keeps me traveling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people and experiencing places with the insight of locals, so couchsurfing is sort of the ideal! I don't have a couch to offer at the moment because of work travels, but I hope to in the not so far future.

Music, Movies, and Books
FICTION: The Harry Potter books, anything by Neil Gaiman, The Perks of Being a Wallflower - In all honesty, I've been away from books for a little while and I'm just diving back in. Recently read The Education of Little Tree and Giovanni's Room.
PLAYS: The Laramie Project, Zoot Suit, In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, Cloud 9, The Vagina Monologues
POETS: Pablo Neruda, Rupi Kaur, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti
MUSIC: I'm not well versed in the vast realm of music as a whole (ironically given that I work in opera), but for the most part I find myself listening to jazz, folk, classical, pop, and rock. Been listening to a lot of Lake Street Dive and The California Honeydrops recently. I have great respect for hiphop and rap, though I know very little of it. I also adore film scores - John Williams, Hans Zimmer, John Powell, Max Richter, the list goes on.
Movies: Big Fish, Meet the Robinsons, the original Star Wars Trilogy (and also Rogue One), Shakespeare in Love, Y tu mamá también, Pajaros de Papel, Muppet Treasure Island. Fair warning, it is likely that if you make reference to a film, I won't get it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a love of boardgames as well as some weird backstage theatre and opera stories. I'm not a fabulous cook, but I will happily make some tortilla española (or something equally delicious if you are vegan ;)
