I'm currently a college student in the U.S. but am taking a semester off to travel, explore, and grow by meeting new and incredible people and by sharing experiences. I'm excited for my upcoming adventures and cannot fathom what I will learn. My academic passions are in psychology, urban studies, and social justice but my true passion is art and tattoos

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is the ultimate way to forge new relationships while traveling and to really see what a different culture is like. Traditional "tourism" kinda feels like its disconnecting from the real world and creates a feeling of visiting an amusement park rather than a place alive with history, people, and culture. I feel that to truly travel is to share perspectives with different people and partake in life with them. Plus, offering a place to stay to strangers is a true form of generosity and looking at a site that's filled with such people shows me there's always some genuine kindness in the world.

There is a ton of music I like. I guess my favorite genre is indie rock. I can't list all of my favorite bands - too many!I also occasionally listen to real, lyrical kind of rap, like Kendrick Lamar!

In addition to indie rock, folk, pop, and electronica are also good!
