To raise two girls well, and make this a better world for them

ABOUT ME

We're pretty busy raising 2 girls, working and volunteering and traveling a lot, so that's why we are listed as "maybe accepting guests". More often than not it just doesn't work for our schedules & life.

we are a pretty ordinary laid-back family in appleton wisconsin who care about social justice, sustainability, personal growth and laughing. we have a wonderful friendly neighborhood where everyone gets along and shares and they all love to meet our guests. lucy, our youngest, loves lemurs and sushi. her older sister loves chickens and helped develop & lead an organization (City Peeps) to legalize urban chickens in Appleton. Jean has worked with people who lose their vision for 15+ years, helping them adapt, teaching them to navigate using white canes, etc. I founded a non-profit coffeehouse (Harmony Cafe) that exists in Appleton & Green Bay and serves as arts & culture hubs, LGBT community centers, leadership development environments, and safe spaces. we love hanging at home together in our wonderful neighborhood, and we love to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

most of our experience so far has been with touring bands staying with us as they travel, but we have had a number of other wonderful folks stay with us too. each has been memorable. we have also done a little couchsurfing ourselves as a family.

Interests

Raising 2 girls, community change agent and activism, music, spirituality, sustainability, nature, biking, snorkeling...
