About Me

CURRENT MISSION

enjoy my trip in France!

ABOUT ME

Hello everyone! my name is Ken. im living in a village, Oketo with a population of 2,500 which locates in the most northern part of Japan. and i work at a local agricultural & forestry company. we produce organic onions, potatoes, wheat, sugar beets, and a little bit of soybeans and pumpkins. the company also plants young pine trees as well as fell/lumber frees in mountains. i have to deal with so many different tasks every day such as operating tractors, backhoe, power shovels, dump truck, large truck, forklift, etc. and also, sometimes use chainsaw and mower in mountains. or sometimes we weed the farms by hands with kneeling all day long. or i repair containers and tools by welding in a rainy day. i work 9 hrs a day and 6 days a week, which is pretty tough, but at the same time, im enjoying this simple life in nature! im trying to be positive and openminded to myself and other people!

i work in Oketo as a seasonal worker from Feb. till Nov. and i usually come back to my hometown, Nagoya to relax and occasionally do some part time job in Dec. and Jan.
this time, im going to visit France for the first time and try wwoof there from mid Dec till the end of Jan 2025.
