About Me

Hey, nice to meet you! I am Kenji, I am a 21 year old student from Belgium, although I am half Japanese. Currently, I'm also doing a one year exchange in Osaka University. My hobbies are very varied; I like sports (especially judo and football), but also music, such as playing the violin or the guitar. But my biggest passion, I would say, is travelling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My biggest passion is travelling. From when I was a kid, I have been travelling with my family. 5 years ago, I did a 7 month exchange to Japan. This made me realise that there is so much more to a country than what you usually see on holidays. During that time, I also made a lot of friends from all over the world. From then, I have been travelling by myself and I noticed that the times I enjoyed the most, were the times that I was hosted by my friends, because that's when you really get to know the country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best 3 weeks of my life, I think were the time when I went to visit Eduardo, my best friend, in Malaysia (because he has been studying there). We travelled from Malaysia to Indonesia and really made unforgettable memories there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really interested in other countries, cultures and languages. I always try to learn as much words/sentences as possible when I travel to a place.
