PHILOSOPHY
Life is like a roller coaster. It's got it's ups and downs but it's an amazing ride you just have to experience with excitement and enthusiasm around every turn.
The journey is the destination.
Invest in the process, not the outcome.
Be the change...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Being a vagabond without any specific permanence has made it difficult for me to host anyone in the past few years. I have, however, gotten the pleasure to surf with a handful of amazing folks amidst my constant travels and cherish the cultural and interpersonal exchanges shared during each experience. Although I've only shared space with these amazing people for only small chunks of time, their impressions are everlasting. I'd much rather spend time with a local or fellow couch surfer than see the sites of a city: what makes a city a city is it's people, not it's infrastructure.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Never a dull moment.
Interests
In no particular order to name a few: the outdoors, working with youth, music, traveling, spirituality.. and most recently, reading!
I love languages and hope to learn many more as the years pass. The Natural world mesmerizes me, but the human spirit is amazing above all else. I dabble with a variety of instruments and get withdrawals if I haven't been to a good show in a while. Hiking through a country sounds more appealing to me now than rolling down it's highways. And genuinely living in the moment is a goal that I will pursue for years to come.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical time line has as many bumps in it as gravel: Grew up to oldies and classical, dragged into rap and hip hop when I was easily influenced, crowd surfed my way through adolescent punk and ska shows, survived countless psychedelic Woodstock festival experiences, drank my fair share of brandy at metropolitan jazz and blues clubs, and glowed the night away at dirty electronic beating warehouse raves. If a musical event is your destination, I'm always down...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I bucked two bulls at a strangers ranch out in the middle of nowhere Alabama just cuz I met some crazy 14 year olds at a rodeo the week before. Also, I recently thru-hiked the entire Appalachian Trail in 4.5 months - it was effing AWESOME!
