Stepped out of the rat race 5 years ago after 23 years as a marine engineer.
Full time single parent.
Now I work at my pace - for the time being at least!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed up into the Arctic Circle mid December in a flat calm sea. Permanent darkness, almost no roll on the ship and absolute silence then the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) began to light up the sky. Such a surreal, mesmeric experience that we lost all sense of time - and temperature!!
