Ken is a very welcoming individual, and loves to share the company of others in his home. There is always a friend knocking at the door to either play music and jam or to head to the beach. He loves to share the things that make him happy with the people that come into his life.

Ken is a very welcoming person. he loves to meet new people an get to know more about their life an adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

No Hurries and No Worries! I am sober and rolling with AA all the way. I am not looking for converts and I still know how to party.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have yet to do much actual couch surfing myself but I have enjoyed the opportunity to host on several occasions. I have always enjoyed meeting new people from all over the world. I am looking forward to doing a little surfing now that I am settled here in Maui.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting has been a blast. I am looking forward to doing a little surfing. I seem to always meet the coolest people. I wish I had more time and availability to host more often. Its comforting to know that all my guests have proven to be true gentlemen and laddies when I have provided them safe haven in my home or just taken them around the island a bit. (FREAKS NEED NOT APPLY)

Interests

I work remotely an have a flexible schedule to leave plenty of time for adventures. I enjoy snorkeling, paddle boarding, snowboarding, cycling, sailing, fishing, hiking,skateboarding. Sunsets are my favorite part of the day, and I will always step outside to enjoy them even though I am a morning person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

isla mujeras, Cancun, watching two different tides come together. Falling in Love. Dropping into Cornice bowl at Mammoth Mountain. Paragliding on Maui. Scuba Diving with Sharks. Sitting on and island and seeing three others surrounding you.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned that most people rush through their vacations here on the islands, agenda in hand so they can cram as much in as possible. Each time you tell them of a story about some random place or adventure they will reply, lets go there now! Put that on the list.

Couch surfers have taught me something completely different. They seem to just roll with what ever opportunity comes at them. They actually appreciate the time we spend at where ever the hell we go and are never in a rush. I dont think I have ever heard a complaint from a single one. Well, at least not one that wasn't accompanied by a hilarious joke or some other jest of good-nature.

This all has taught me to truly appreciate almost each and ever exact moment at the exact time I am in it. My past is dead. My future is an unknown, surely not a promise. The present, this is exact moment is the only time I have to come feel alive. The gift of this insight has allowed me to rectify some of the problems of my past, while ensuring that I take the necessary steps to prepare for my future as well. I just started to learn how to actually live and enjoy myself along the way without the weight or burden of either one causing me sacrifice my enjoyment of each and every moment.
