ABOUT ME

I was born in Singapore and grew up in Canada. I've been doing a lot of traveling in the past few years and I love the thrill and challenge of being in a new place and meeting fascinating people. I just finished grad school so I am currently enjoying my freedom and rekindling my curiosity to learn from other things than books and articles!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a lot of people when I lived in Ottawa and Olomouc, but I've also been hosted by many wonderful people, especially during my biking/hitchhiking trip in western Europe. Now I'm back to Canada and living in Toronto, and I'd like to try hosting again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favourite experiences with CS have been when I was traveling alone and feeling lonely and then meeting a CS host and just having that sudden connection - that instant recognition of a kindred spirit. It can happen anywhere!

Intereses

Right now I'm really into web development (Ruby and JS) but I still have a strong interest in global issues and inclusive economic development. I love long-distance running and I'm obsessed with my dog Bowie!

Movies - I don't watch a lot of movies, but I usually go for funny ones.
Books - Just started reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series!
Music - I've gotten into really cheesy pop music. I don't know how or why. But I love Taylor Swift.
