Overview
About Me
I am an Engineering Student from Duke University because I love science and computers like physics and random stuff. However, I also have a love for architecture, culture, and especially food! I use to live in Miami, Florida, which was full of Latin culture, when I was really young. Moreover, I grew up in a Nicaraguan family of 5 with 2 little brothers in North Carolina, whose southern culture was much different than Miami.
I love to learn about new cultures and make new friends and have great conversations, so I hope that the people I meet love the same, and if you host me, don't be wary of asking me anything! I want to learn and I hope to be able to offer insight from the places I come from.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From my study abroad experience, I decided now is the time I have to explore and travel as I have always wanted to since I was young. The reason I wanted to do Couchsurfing completely comes from my experience with my host family during the summer in Spain. I spent that time in Madrid and a few other cities and loved every single one of them. My host family gave me an inside look of their world and a local's knowledge of the lay of the land. They truly made my experience in Spain something I will always remember summer. It's because of them I want to meet new people and explore with them.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love so many genres of music, but if I had to pick it would the broad range of Latino music from salsa all the way to reggaeton. As for my favorite movies, I love so many of them from fantasy (Lord of the Rings) to sci-fi (Back to the Future) to your good old superhero movies (The Avengers), and doesn't even include the horror movies. Books that I have enjoyed are Cold Blooded, MockingBird, Pride and Prejudice, Ender's Game, and I recently picked of the Odyssey.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope to learn about culture, food, and honestly anything you're passionate about.
