Overview
About Me
I'm just a guy whose succumb to the wanderlust and wants to see the world and experience how other people live and hopefully make their lives better for having known mine. Born and raised in southern Indiana. Avid sports fan, chess nerd and hopeless harmonica player. I'm starting off in Australia, then going to New Zealand and beyond for the fun and benefit of seeing how different people live their lives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet locals at the places I travel. I want to understand their way of life and experience their communities, towns and overall surroundings as they do. I want to learn from them and take a piece of my experience with them on my onward travels as well as hopefully leave behind a little piece of myself (only metaphorically).

Music, Movies, and Books
90s alternative, Elvis, Beach Boys, Old School Hip Hop, 90 thru present country, certain types of classical music...a lot to work with on this one
Don't read a whole lot of fiction stuff. I figure if it's good enough they'll turn it into a movie. But I'm always up for recommendations.
A lot of movies from all genres. I think I spelt that right.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Made this profile, quit my job and bought a one way plane ticket...I know a lot of people do that, but not many from where I'm from. We'll see how it goes :p.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ummm...chess?...how to look things up that you want to learn on YouTube?
My experience going from living in a small American town to living in a Taiwanese city. There's definitely some entertaining things in there. At least entertaining for the person I'm telling the stories too.
As far as learning, man...that's kind of an endless answer isn't it?...
Same goes for sharing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Ya, this is kind of s tuffy.
Pretty good at conversing about a wide range of topics. Also, since I'll be looking to them for advice on what to do in their community, maybe I'll help inspire them to get out of their comfort zone and do something that they've always wanted to do. Although, if they're on couchsurfing, odds are they've already done that...
And I could share my stories and experiences with them of all the previous awesome people I've couchsurfed with
