About Me

I’m from Uganda and I’ve just started traveling the world. This is my first time living outside Uganda, and right now I’m in the UK for my postgraduate studies. I’m really excited to experience new cultures and learn new things. I’m passionate about teaching and making sure every child gets a good education. My friends always notice that I’m smiling—I just love spreading happiness wherever I go. My goal in life is to keep growing, learning, and making a positive difference in people’s lives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to make new friends from around the world, share my city's unique experiences with visitors, and have the opportunity to explore and connect with other cities when I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

-Music: I enjoy listening to a lot of hip-hop and Afrobeats.

- Movies: While I watch a variety of films, one of my favorites is 'The Shawshank Redemption,' even though my favorite actor, Samuel L. Jackson, isn't in it.

- Books: Although my reading habits have decreased recently, one book that has always resonated with me is 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a number of amazing things, but one I am most proud of is setting up a new library in the rural community of Muwangi, in central Uganda. This initiative along with many others helped increase the school population from 74 children to more than 500 children, and I am very proud of the positive impact it has had on the community

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to teach about my Acoli culture and language, learn from diverse perspectives of fellow travelers, and share my skills in thriving in rural, remote communities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I offer warmth, respect, and an eagerness to learn from my hosts. I enjoy engaging in meaningful conversations, sharing stories from my few travels, and exchanging cultural insights. Additionally, I am happy to lend a hand with household chores, cooking traditional dishes from my culture, and providing a unique perspective on life in Uganda. I believe in fostering genuine connections and contributing positively to the hosting experience.
