About Me

Hello!

I AM a Japanese college student of Waseda University (Tokyo, Japan).
I WAS studying at California State University, Long Beach (CA, U.S.A.) as an exchange student (from Aug. 2016 to Jun. 2017).
NOW I AM Back to Tokyo Japan, studying at home uni. Waseda University.
My major is Liberal Art, and now mainly studying about Economics and Business and Finance.

My biggest hobby is breakdance, and I love hip hop culture. I work in "Toshin High School" a prep school for University entrance exams as a tutor, because I love teaching and interacting with energetic high school students :).

Generally, I like talking, doing something together, and respect everybody and diversity.
I am looking forward to seeing you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I was studying abroad in the United States, I found how fun traveling to new places and meeting new people there. My first experience to give a try to finding host on SNN (not couch surfing that time) was a trip to San Diego and Arizona. Not only were the hosts so kind and nice to me, they gave me wonderful experiences that I could never have had without meeting them (even if I had spent hundreds of hours researching on the internet to decide where to go/ what to do), making my travel unforgettable. In short, I realized it is much more fun interacting with people living there than traveling alone!

Three reasons why I'm on couchsufing

1. To find hosts when I travel in JAPAN
2. To find hosts when I travel OVERSEAS
3. (In The Future) To help other couchsurfers who are coming to JAPAN

1. I am really really interested in getting out of Tokyo (where I live) to travel! Especially, I want to meet/know foreign people living in Japan!!!
I found while Couchsurfing is still not popular in Japan, many foreign residents in Japan register themselves, accepting guests. So I would like to find and interact with foreign people throughout Japan when I travel to other prefectures. There are few chances to speak English in Japan, so I want to talk to you in English (or I will help you learn Japanese as well if you want!) Also, I am simply interested in how much potential Couchsurfing has to expand the network of me and people living "abroad" in Japan. I hope I will have great Cross-Cultural Experience in Japan :)
(Of course, I will appreciate it Japanese Hosts help me travel to your place! Please tell me about the life outside of Tokyo!)

2. I am also thinking of traveling outside of Japan. Asia, Europe, the U.S. again, Canada, South America, Africa, Middle East... it'll never end to say which place I want to go! If you enjoy meeting people of different background all over the world, let me be one of those people and share the experience of cultural exchange!

3. After I graduate from university (not right after), I will probably leave my hometown to live alone. Then, I will for sure be a host! Let me help your journey to be more exciting and comfortable and cheaper! Especially, if you hesitate to come to Japan due to anxiety, fear, lack of information or network, language barrier or else, juts feel free to contact me and ask for help/advice! Though I am not currently hosting a guest, I will help you to see the sight of Tokyo!

It will be definitely fun making new friends through couchsurfing!

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many favorite songs that I cannot write down all of the.
I like classic Hip hop songs; The next episode (Dr. Dre), Check the rhyme, etc. (truly too many!)
Also, I like Jason Mraz, whose famous songs include life is wonderful, You and I both, and Justin Timberlake (mirrors, suit and tie, I can't stop the feeling, are really popular, aren't they?).
Furthermore, I sometimes listen to Jazz, especially Horace Silver is my favorite Jazz artist. So I love diverse kind of music, and I am always ready for knowing new songs, so recommend to me!

As for movies, I watch marvel's Avengers series. It is so exciting! I love them.
However, my favorite movie is Shawshank Redemption... that is amazingly good movie that would never be obsolete.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is amazing, and everything we've done can be actually amazing, am I correct?

In my opinion, the truth that I studied English by myself and that now I'm living overseas as I dreamed long time ago could be really amazing if 15-year-old Me heard that. I alway appreciate it that I connect with many people from different backgrounds through language, breakdance, eating together, or whatever. If you were to deny it, nothing particular of me would be amazing for you... :)

(WIRTTEN while I was studying in The U.S.. Well, it still sounds unbelievable that I finally got out of Japan and lived alone in The U.S. for 10 months! Life is wonderful and has unlimited possibility indeed! )

What I Can Share with Hosts

Japanese Language, knowledge about Japanese culture (mainly based on experience though lol.) I will help housekeeping or anything I can do. I do cooking too!
