About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To expand my knowledge of the world and inspire others to do the same

ABOUT ME

I am a world traveling, rock climbing, yoga teaching, adrenaline junkie...finding any and all reasons to create amazing experiences and meet new friends all over the world.

To elaborate...I studied abroad in the Netherlands in 2007 and caught the travel bug. I haven't really stopped since, but recently have had to put the brakes on only because I have a great career now in Seattle, WA - manager of a brand new yoga studio! However, it's only a matter of time before I pick up and cast my sails again for new adventures in new places.

I think that about sums it up until we meet in person!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live my life at random. Spontaneous experiences keep me inspired, and I plan on keeping my life an adventure any way I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One example....a wonderfully adventurous time spent in Athens, Greece, with my host Stella who, upon my surprise arrival, tossed maps in my lap and gave me a shot (or two) of her homemade Greek liquor. We then crashed a Greek wedding down the street, went to her mom's house for a traditional Greek meal, and she showed me the Greek nightlife. An awesome weekend!! By far the best hospitality.

Interests

Traveling anywhere and everywhere. Yoga. More yoga. Rock climbing. Art and design. Networking. Meeting new, awesome people. And beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading world atlases, historical nonfiction, and historically-based fiction. Most often I'm reading National Geographic or the other travel magazines I subscribe to. I'm big on historically-based films. Basically anything with substance.

Instrumental tracks are on every playlist I create, but I also enjoy classic 80s and 90s songs, with some chill new-age music or good rock thrown in there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I supported the Red Bull X-Alps hike-and-fly adventure race from Salzburg, Austria to Monaco, weaving through 5 other countries along the way!

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Slovenia, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
