Overview
About Me
Ciao, I’m Kenya. Originally from Osaka, now based in Kyoto.
I’m a licensed private tour guide and run a travel agency specializing in high-end, tailor-made experiences across Japan. My clients are often affluent travelers seeking deeper cultural insight, efficiency, and access to places they wouldn’t normally reach.
I also enjoy offering guidance or support to people who have hosted me or helped me during my travels. I value meaningful exchanges over transactional relationships.
On a personal level, I have a strong curiosity for history and culture. Recently, I’ve been researching topics such as the possible connections between Japan and the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel, as well as the history of Hidden Christians in Japan.
I’m also quite health-conscious. I enjoy cooking simple, nutritious meals and try to avoid overly processed or chemical-heavy foods.
Meeting new people and learning from different perspectives is something I truly value. I’ve been part of Couchsurfing for over 10 years and have had many great experiences through it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used to travel around the world when I was younger, then many CS hosts helped me by offering place to sleep, showing places, preparing dishes, etc. I really appreciate that, though I also have horrible experience through CS. I got a little room in good location, I cook everyday and I know the places around, it's time to return the favor I received.
Interests
I'm interested in health and psychology, I wanna find a way to heal people mentally and physically without depending on medicine and hospital. I'm also into Macha and will learn about tea ceremony, I can make macha with a handmade pottery!
