About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy Life! I'd love to host you in my home! But even if it doesn't work out it would be wonderful to meet anyway - perhaps coffee, or BBQ at my house
ABOUT ME
My first memories are of the deserts of Arizona. After my family moved to the midwest, and after working in the northeast for a few years, I finally decided to move back to Arizona. I've been delighted ever since as the desert is my true home. I've traveled to some countries in Europe, Saudi Arabia, China - one of the most enriching things in life is to experience other cultures and how people live. I live a solitary life on a daily basis in the middle of the desert, but still crave travel of any sort.
PHILOSOPHY
We only have one pass through this world, so we need to enjoy it as much as possible. Love and be loved. Be kind. Enjoy nature with respect. Share experiences. Help someone else.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I particpate by opening my home to travelers.
Many of my travels have been via visiting friends. Staying with friends - new friends or old friends - is a much better way to travel and see other cultures. One truely experiences another culture through visiting someone's home, not a hotel or hostel.
Interests
motorcycling, travel, cultures, photography (at least I try...), home remodeling (sometimes it's overwhelming...), desert wildlife.

Music, Movies, and Books
Enjoy most forms of music (except opera and rap), but my favorites are classical, country and oldies rock. I'm usually reading National Geographic or a technical publication. I usually fall asleep during a movie, although I enjoy documentaries or Science Fiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched a butterfly drink from a flower. Watched my dog learn a new word or sign. Listen to coyotes howel at night. Visiting friends overseas and getting involved in their lives & cultures. Saved the life of a friend.
Teach, Learn, Share
Visiting another place is more than seeing - it's getting involved. I love to involve guests in the wonders of the desert - the smallest of flowers, the paw-prints of a wild animal, the weather paterns around the mountains, and how animals, plants & humans live in the desert.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom
