Overview
About Me
I'm no stranger to Europe having grown up in Poland for 10 years, but I'm technically American. I hail from a small, liberal arts, Christian college in the Pacific Northwest and am excited to be back in Europe. One semester is too short a time, but I'm planning lots of trips before I leave and I want to make the most of my stay while also being a responsible student. I'm neat and organized, I love all kinds of food, every culture interests me in some way, I dislike the taste of beer, and I would love to hear all of your favorite things about your city and learn it like a local would. (: I also strongly dislike feeling like a tourist and would rather get to know the feel of a new place than necessarily by racing around following the crowd. Though you will find me taking pictures of new things all the time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently studying abroad in Brittany for one semester and am hoping to meet some cool new people and learn about each country from the locals. I'm new to Western Europe and hoping to meet some people, explore some cities and learn the culture from the people living in it. I'm also a broke college student trying to see as much of the world on a very limited budget.
I would love to be able to host people in return but unfortunately my dorm room is less than 9 square meters and there is literally not enough room on the floor even to fit a mattress or person.
Interests
Travel obviously, specifically in what used to be the Fertile Crescent region. I love to read, journal and blog. I ride horses when I'm at home and definitely miss it here (please please please message me if you know of a stable or barn in your area). I'm also pretty artsy and enjoy cooking and random DIY projects just as much as shopping or drinking a coffee or tea while watching the world go by.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like every type of music except heavy metal and screamo. My favorites range from Indie/Alternative bands, to Classical, to pop and especially music from around the globe. If it's in another language than English it has a special place in my heart.
I enjoy most movies but I hate horror movies and thrillers. Some old favorites are the Princess Bride, Jodhaa Akhbar, the Sound of Music and Breakfast at Tiffany's.
My current booklist is more than 100 books long.... You could say I like to read. I couldn't pick just one favorite, but C.S. Lewis and Tolkien probably tie for first place.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories and culture from Poland and America, original Breizh cider from Brittany, a witty sense of humour, and a shared love of meeting new people, travel and cultures.
