Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Kerem, and I am from Turkey. I am an environmental engineer but currently I am a graduate student at North Carolina State University. I love art really much, especially music. I have been playing guitar and had dance lessons (salsa and waltz) for months. I like to explore new places and get to know new cultures and people. I think these are great experiences that broaden one's horizon and make life worth living. I am an open-minded person and enjoy chatting about diverse topics such as music, literature, history, and philosophy. I cannot wait to meet you and hear your story!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I believe a journey cannot be completed without meeting with local people. Sharing stories, experiences and cultures are great ways to make new friends, have fun and learn new things. Couchsurfing makes these possible by connecting travelers with local hosts.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love blues, jazz and rock. But, other than these genres, I like every type of music! My favorite guitarists: Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and B.B. King.
My favorite movies: Godfather I and II. I love the pieces of music and acting in these movies the most. I also read the novel of Godfather.
My favorite books: Siddhartha - Hermann Hesse, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance - Robert M. Pirsig, 1984 - George Orwell, and Zorba the Greek - Nikos Kazantzakis.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
