About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To seek and live a meaningful, adventurous life - with meaningful, adventurous people!
ABOUT ME
These days I've traded my backpack for a cubicle. While I appreciate and enjoy my work, my travel opportunities have significantly dwindled now that my feet are less able to be loose and fancy free.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I see CS as an opportunity to connect with people and places authentically. When I travel, I basically look for people and experiences to challenge and refresh me. I try to be open and giving of myself in a way that allows for these sorts of things to be reciprocal! I am pretty spontaneous with my travels and don't like to plan too much in advance. Some of my most enriching experiences have happened because I jumped on an opportunity in the spur of the moment...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couchsurfed a couple times: once in Guangzhou, China in 2009 and once last year (2011) in New York City. Among my friends and extended network, I am often hosting or being hosted.
Interests
BIKES! In my spare time I participate in a volunteer-run DIY bike space in Toronto where I am learning bike mechanics. I also love to cycle tour.
