I am a mature aged Australian Artist. I have tossed my job in to explore the world meet new people experience new cultures and to pack in as much as I can in the next 12 months. I am travelling and house and pet sitting when I can, while painting and sketching the sights and scenery. I have 3 adult children who live all along the eastern seaboard of NSW. I have a large and loving family who all love to travel and are good fun to be around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a few gaps in my house sitting jobs, couch surfing would be the ideal opportunity to fill these gaps in while meeting new people sharing our knowledge, culture and perhaps a delicious meal or two.

Music is too hard I have an eclectic taste and my favourite switches depending on if I am making art, getting my groove on, cooking or cleaning or getting into my yoga practice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sky diving I now wish to bungee jump though think I will wait until I go to New Zealand I have heard they have the best bungee jumping.

I can paint, sculpt, ceramics, I also sew like a demon as I have made wedding dresses since I was 18. I am an informed veggie patch grower having had them in some form everywhere I have lived, from pots to 8 rotating gardens with at least 10 fruit trees. I am a decent cook having cooked at a health resort for a number of years on the Gold Coast, mostly vegetarian (as that is what I am) although I have a do cook meat when required. I have helped my brother in law put a pig on a spit and cook it along with 3 chickens and a duck with veggies etc for a family Christmas a couple of years ago, we have a very large family. I can also change a car tyre and have replaced a starter motor adjusted the clutch and the hand break and done basic services on the cars I have owned. My Dad, brother and son are all mechanics so there was no escape. I learnt to drive a long wheel land rover at 12 on a large property on inland NSW.
