After dropping out my university studies I've been leading a weird life, just passing through lots of places and jobs (loader, builder, handyman, courrier, bartender etc. - jeez, I was even a private detective once upon a time), trying to find some essential general feeling of the world around, looking for my own place in this mad-boiling mess which we call our life.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

At the moment I'm right in the middle of a journey I've always dreamt of – following the footsteps of my favorite american writers, such as Jack Kerouac, Thomas Wolfe and Henry David Thoreau – and would be really glad to also contact some locals at these places to dig into it properly :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music
I like different music depending on my mood - my favourite bands are russian, but talking about genres I prefer grungerock and slowcore, and, on the other side - jazz and old-school rap.

Books
All right, it's simple, here are the greatest books of all the time: Jack Kerouac's "Big Sur", Henry David Thoreau's "Walden", and Kafka's diary. But there are many more writers whose books are also important to me: Dostoevsky, Celine, Sartre, Henry Miller, Bukowski. Damn I like books!

Films
My favourite movie is definentely "Arizona Dream" by Emir Kusturica. Then "Into the wild", of course, and David Cronenberg's works. Oh, and also Vincent Gallo! His "Buffalo 66" is the best. But sometime I also like to watch some stupid shitty blockbuster with lots of action in it, just to, you know, laid back for awhile.
