My friends would describe me as a sociable, enthusiastic girl. I am very open minded and love to travel and meet new people!

I currently live and study in Lund, Sweden, but I am originally from the Netherlands. Previously I have studied in beautiful Norway, and worked in London for a year. It would be great to meet people who are also interested in politics/development/human rights/environment/activism and such because I enjoy talking about that and sharing my thoughts!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I loved the idea of sharing experiences and being able to see the world in an inexpensive way when I first heard of the Couchsurfing initiative.

My first couchsurf experience was when a friend and I traveled in Italy and surfed some couches, the people where very friendly , it was a great experience! A year later I surfed some couches in the States, again nothing but great experiences, also when attending couchsurfing events I have always loved the relaxed and international vibe.

Hosting people was nothing but wonderful as well, it has been great meeting and hanging out with like-minded travelers and to show them around in the village a bit :)

Interests

I love playing volleyball, reading, hiking and enjoying good company. But most of all I love travelling and exploring different parts of the world and learning about new cultures!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling in general is amazing, but the most amazing was my great backpack adventure of half a year; travelling all the way from Panama to Canada!

What I Can Share with Hosts

FOOD! I love to cook, cakes and desserts are my specialty :) I am a vegetarian and so enjoy experimenting with new veggie/vegan recipes. But I can also share travelling experiences and stories!
