I was working on building a career in finance when my company did a restructure of my department and I was let go :( So now I am traveling with no foreseeable plan of stopping. I am currently touring beautiful New Zeland, and loving every minute of it!

I enjoy hostels and meeting people from around the world. But while I'm traveling, I also want to meet people who live in the local area. I'm hoping Couchsurfing will help me meet local people, get a feel for the local culture and, to see what life in different areas is like.

Generally, I listen to a lot of country music, but I'm not fussy, I enjoy just about everything. I'm not a big fan of comedies, though I occasionally cave in for a rom com. I love fantasy movies like LOTR, Star Wars, and Marvel. Some of my favorite books have been The Time Traveller's Wife, Wild, Eat Pray Love, and The Sword of Truth,
