Hi!

I'm a qualified chef but found that the catering business is, unfortunately, not very compatible with having a life so I've decided to change careers and just cook for fun now. Hopefully I’ll have more time for travelling too 😆

I'm fun loving, friendly and sociable and love having new experiences and meeting new people.

I had not heard of CS until recently but I think it's a lovely idea!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I went travelling when I was 18 and absolutely loved it. After that life got in the way a bit but in 2016 I finally got the chance to travel again and spent an amazing summer travelling solo around Europe. I visited so many places I've always wanted to go to and now I'm planning my next trip, definitely not going to leave it so long to go away again!

Went to the south of Spain with my sister which was brilliant as it gave us a chance to explore an entirely new part of a country I've been to a few times and saw loads of cool stuff I would never have thought to visit before.

I really enjoy travelling in a way that is not 100% following the usual tourist trail, not that there is anything wrong with touristy stuff but sometimes it's really nice to get out there and experience something a bit different. That's one of the reasons I really like the CS idea as it allows you to connect with locals and other travellers who can pass on their wealth of knowledge and help you really experience a place.

I love a wide range of music, I grew up listening to jazz and classical and played the violin and piano as a child. Now still I listen to these but also love a good pop, r & b or dance tune, anything with a good beat that I can dance to!

Same with movies and books really, I suppose I'm a bit of a geek at heart and love a good sci fi or fantasy book/film but I also enjoy action, crime and comedies. Less of a lover of soppy romantic stuff but there is the odd one that will win me over :)

I'm pretty open minded and easy going really and will try most things at least once.

I travelled around Australia for a year, it was an amazing experience that really helped me grow as a person and gave me some fantastic memories.

I'm more than happy to pass on anything I know (I know a lot of random useless facts!) and will happily give any advice I can about cooking! I'm up for cooking a meal for anyone I stay with too :D
