About Me

Hello,

I'm Kerri and am new to couch surfing. I'm 27 and live in Fayetteville, AR. I live with my friend and roommate and will be going back to school in the fall to get a degree in art. I haven't traveled much until last year. I went to NYC to see a friend of mine and now I'm hooked on that feeling of adventure. I've made it a life goal to at least go somewhere once a year.

This year I am going on a solo road trip to Omaha, Denver, Lawrence, possibly Joplin, then back home. Making a big circle. The theme is music. I'm going to Maha fest in Omaha, seeing the brilliant Alabama Shakes at Red Rocks, then possibly going to ZERKAPALOOZA in Joplin on the way home, and for my birthday.

Next year my goal is across sea. I have some family friends that live in England that keep begging me to come stay with them so that's the goal.

Gotta broaden those horizons!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because a.) I'm on a budget and b.) since I'm traveling alone I want to get out of my introverted comfort zone and meet people who I wouldn't normally get to. I think this is such a great idea and you have to have a lot of trust to get out and do this.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll just name my current favorites. :)

Music: Alabama Shakes, Alvvays, of Montreal

Movies: Frances Ha, Save the Date, Marie Antoinette

Books: Galapagos, Kurt Vonnegut

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ventured out on the streets of Brooklyn onto a subway to Manhattan all by myself. Haha, that sounds lame but coming from a small country town in the south and being introverted that's a pretty amazing thing to do.
