One of my many mottos is "plans are just something to get excited about". I try not to plan too much with solid commitments because I believe the best adventures come if you don't force them. I only really plan so I know a background on the country and an idea of the culture.

~THIS YEAR~
I am newly graduated and have made the life choice to take this year to myself and explore rather then enter the work world right away. To start the year off right, I was working as a tree planter in Northern BC to make some cash so my adventures can come true. Now I am off to Iceland and Norway to camp, hike, and breath fresh air, then returning and driving down the west coast into Mexico where I hope to stay until Christmas (bring my spanish up from "una cerveza por favour" to fluent as I travel) then headed home to Toronto and reuniting with my amazing family. My next step is to take a ski season. By that time it will be time again for another season of planting. I couldn't be more excited about whats to come and how these plans will shift :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This site brings together non-flashpackers and thats why I love it! It allows us explorers to cover a lot of ground on a budget as well as giving us an opportunity to experience life as a local. I love the community aspect of couch surfing. I hope to give back down the line and open my home to other travellers.

Because I can't point out my favourite music because I love too much of it, I will alter this one to "If I could bring one artist back to life" and my answer to that would be Janis Joplin (hands down). If only I could live through the Woodstock performances and roaring crowds
