I’m 26 and from England.

I am outgoing, open-minded, and always wanting to learn new things and experience different cultures and ways of life. I am hoping to meet interesting people who can tell me their stories of travels and experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find Couchsurfing is a great way to meet locals and make friends from all over the world. I had the best experience when I was hosted in NZ years ago and it has left a very positive memory. I live in Brighton, UK and it is a very diverse and multicultural city with people visiting from all over, so I am happy to be a tour guide to visitors in Brighton.

Interests

Big fan of animals (cat lady). I like piano music and really want to learn. I love sunsets, trees, the ocean and anything nature. As a bartender I have an interest in alcohol and I love wine, craft beer, rum, some whiskeys. Music festivals are always fun. I have recently learned how to make coffee so I love that also. I enjoy art. I love yoga and meditation. I’m trying to live a more sustainable life and I’d like to learn how to do so. I don’t have many hobbies but I have a list of things I want to learn!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I literally like everything and it always changes. I’m really loving at the minute soft easy listening or Jazzy music. I like classics like Bowie, Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley, Arctic Monkeys, and chilled music like Tom Misch, FKJ, and Jorja Smith. I also like heavier music and have about 50 different playlists on Spotify. I love finding good songs from different countries, and currently have playlists of Spanish, Italian, Portuguese/Brazilian and Indian music. Send me recommendations!

Books- I am currently reading 'Entangled Life' by Merlin Sheldrake. I just finished ‘A Little Life’, ‘Lolita’, and now nearly finished ‘Call me by your name’ so I guess I can say I like very difficult and depressing books lol

Movies- Harry Potter, Call Me by your name, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, Everything Everywhere all at Once, Shawshank Redemption (and many many more that I can't currently think of). I love artsy films, love, comedy, psychological thrillers, and horror. I always appreciate good film recommendations.

I also love series like Handmaid's Tale, Game of Thrones, Black Mirror, Normal People etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in New Zealand for 2.5 years. I went on a Working Holiday and I miss it very very much. I also did a programme in Delhi for a month and miss the fast paced Delhi life!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach- I can teach English to those who would like to learn. I also love to cook, and have done Italian and Indian cooking classes so can practice cooking together. I love plants and growing things such as tomato plants, avocado plants etc, and could help with simple gardening.

Learn- I am always willing to learn new things, I have always wanted to learn a new language, I would like to learn many languages but Spanish is one I would really love to know. I’m also potentially studying a year abroad at the end of 2024 in either Italy, South Korea or Japan (depending on which one is selected for me) so learning any of those will be a massive bonus also. I would like to improve on my surfing skills and to get better at art.

Share- I would like to share adventures with new people and stories! It would be nice to spend time with people to be shown around places and share just time and conversations!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can potentially share my space with (I have a sofa that's OK to sleep on). I can share cooking, fun stories and hopefully some fun adventures.
