Hello! I'm a 32 year old who is addicted to cheap flights. I have a 13 year old daughter who acts like she's 22. She is studying Spanish and it is her favourite subject and she is already starting to be better than me at it! We both like being outside and often go camping in Europe. I like to take her to historical sites and help enrich her education. We are both friendly and slightly insane. And we love to explore new cultures and languages and experiences. We are technically Christian, but don't practice religion.

Interests

For the last 3 years I worked in outdoor education, teaching bushcraft , Climbing, abseil and water sports. I worked with children from across Europe and enjoyed trying to learn their languages, especially Spanish and Italian.

Music, Movies, and Books

Both big fans of Green day, we've seen them twice, have varied music tastes and listen to everything form ACDC to the soundtrack to Les Mis. Hate drum and Bass. Listen to a lot of 80's rock.
I love Bill Bryson the travel writer, other favourite books include Band of Brothers, The man who escaped Auschwitz, Da Vinci Code and many more.
Movies- Back to the Future, Moulin rouge, we were soldiers, saving private Ryan, the way, enemy at the gates.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not sure I can teach much. I can correct English, I can show you some bushcraft, or teach you how NOT to cook, haha, I can show you some traditional English pubs and give tips on getting the most out of England for the cheapest possible. As a single parent i have all the cheap and free ways to do things. London is only 40 minutes by train, and I know it well. I don't have a spare bedroom, but I have a large L shaped sofa that's pretty comfortable.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm willing to pitch in with cooking or help with cleaning, and would always bring a gift. We are polite and friendly and tidy people. We have travelled a lot but never really had the chance to get to know people on our travels, so would love to share adventures and stories, maybe even a bit of mutual language exchange.
