About Me

I've been traveling around Southeast Asia since November 2014. My initial plan was to be away for a month, but after an incredible motorcycle trip through Vietnam I decided I couldn't bring myself to go home and back to business as usual.
Kind of making it up as I go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I mentioned, I was only meant to travel for one month, and it'll be ten months I've been away as of mid-September. As a result, I'm traveling on a pretty tight budget.
Hostels are fine and all, but it's nice to mix it up and stay with a person who lives in the area in order to get a better feel for what a city is actually like.
And once I head home I really enjoy the idea of showing people from around the world what my city is like.

Interests

Bass and a bit of guitar
Photography, drawing, painting, and creating mixed-media art.
Bookworm but also a social butterfly. Love meeting new people and staying up all night talking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Punk, rockabilly, surf, garage, rock n roll, soul, motown, blues

Favorite directors are Stanley Kubrick, Cohen Brothers, Quentin Tarentino, and John Waters.

Tom Robbins, Charles Bukowski, and Chuck Palahniuk are my favorite authors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitch-hiking across Java was a pretty amazing experience.

I have plenty of stories but I'd rather not give them all away on here!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Like I said, I've got lots of stories! I'm a good listener in addition to being a good talker! I love hearing about people's lives, especially people who grew up in a culture different from my own.
And if you lend me your couch I'm happy to help with cooking, cleaning, walking your dog, whatever!
Plus I'm happy to offer my couch back in Boston in the future (exactly when remains to be seen!) if we hit it off :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Viet Nam
