ABOUT ME

I am a student living in Halifax. I am currently working on my Master's of Rehabilitation Research which is a non-clinical physiotherapy degree.
I live with my partner (Alec) and 2 cats. Our cats are quite dumb but brilliantly charming! They eat mangos, grapefruit, and avocados — we have never met any other cats who have palettes such as theirs.

I have a brother and a sister...there is a picture of the three of us in my photos section. My sister is adopted from South Korea and I was lucky enough to go with her and the rest of my family to visit South Korea and Japan a couple of summers ago. When we were there we had the chance to climb Mt. Fuji and eat some delicious south-east asian food.

PHILOSOPHY

This is a hard field to fill out — I have never had to characterize my personal philosophy in a text box. My main philosophy is that everything works out in the end. I have found myself in many a situation where I have had to make tough decision, spent hours writing pro and con lists, and finally going with my gut instinct. And I have always found that everything works out in the end! Perhaps I am too young and naive.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I created this profile when planning a trip to Europe in 2014. Since then, I have surfed on couches in Amsterdam, Delft, and Brussels. We have also hosted surfers from England, Germany, Denmark, and Canada!

Interests

I have many, many interests. My primary interests are cooking, knitting, photography, swimming, walking around new cities, traveling, piano, music, meeting new people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I am quite picky when it comes to movies but some favourites include "When Harry Met Sally", "Keeping Mum", "The Sound of Music" and oh the list goes on.

Music: My favourites in the past have been classic rock (Supertramp, the Eagles, ELO, Dire Straights) but recently have been listening to a lot of electronic. Alec loves electronic and trance music, and while it took a while to grow on me it is beginning to become my go-to music. A couple trance artists we are both very found of are Andrew Bayer and Mat Zo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favourite trips was to Iceland with my Dad. He took me after I graduated from high school to celebrate going off to University. We did some amazing sight-seeing and hiking.
