About Me

I have a wonderful life and am surrounded by the most beautiful people on the planet, but despite this I still moan and bitch about the world.

I like riding on escalators and eating toasted sandwiches. I dislike arguments, being wrong and not being able to think of that word I was thinking of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been away from home, travelling, living with and meeting strangers since 2013. During this time I've met some of the most crazy, wonderful, beautiful people I've ever known. Even if we've not yet met, I can't wait for you to be one of my best friends :)

Interests

I love climbing, rafting, sky diving, hang gliding, skiing, abseiling... Name a crazy sport I've not done yet and I'll be there! I also love cake. And cider. And wine. If these are in large quantities, all the better.

My favourite thing to do is something I've never done before. Visit places I've never been, try new foods, learn a kick ass new dance move, meet new people and have a lot of fun.

I'll also use any excuse I can find to have a picnic.

Music, Movies, and Books

Arghh! Always so tough to choose just one!! I love any film or book that can make me laugh or cry. Favourites are comedies and cheesey rom-coms on the big screen and I'm a complete die hard Harry Potter fan (books, not the movies). I'll still be re-reading them in my 90's. Besides JK Rowling, my favourite authors are Brandon Sanderson and Cecelia Ahern. Their imagination astounds me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered at an elephant sanctuary in Malaysia and my job was to bathe the baby elephants. My younger sisters were able to help for a day and to see the absolute wonder in their eyes was incredible. If you've ever wanted to bathe an elephant, you should know that it's more like a water fight than a bath... And the elephant ALWAYS wins :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook (and eat) so I'm always up for sharing good recipes over a glass of wine.
