Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because of my passion for learning languages and enhancing my English communication skills. I believe that immersing myself in real-life conversations with people from different cultures is the most effective way to improve my language abilities. Couchsurfing offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful exchanges with native English speakers and fellow travelers, allowing me to practice English in diverse contexts while sharing my own language and culture. This exchange not only helps me develop my language skills but also enriches my understanding of different perspectives, making each interaction a valuable learning experience.

Interests

I'm excited to share a bit about my interests. I follow a predominantly vegetarian diet but occasionally enjoy non-vegetarian dishes, finding balance in my meals. Reading is a true passion of mine; I love diving into books on various topics and genres. I'm also an avid swimmer and runner, both of which keep me energized and healthy. Additionally, I work as a teacher at a school, where I find great joy in guiding and inspiring my students. These diverse interests keep my life dynamic and fulfilling, and I'm always eager to connect with others who share similar passions or can introduce me to new ones.

Music, Movies, and Books

In my spare time, I indulge in my love for reading by exploring renowned Chinese literary works. I find great joy in immersing myself in the rich cultural heritage and timeless stories of Chinese authors, which offer profound insights and captivating narratives. Alongside my literary pursuits, I am also an avid fan of classic films. I enjoy watching iconic movies like Titanic, The Lord of the Rings, and the Harry Potter series. These films not only provide entertainment but also inspire me with their extraordinary storytelling, memorable characters, and breathtaking visuals. Whether through the pages of a book or the magic of cinema, these interests deeply enrich my life and provide a wonderful escape into diverse worlds of imagination and adventure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my visit to relatives in Central Vietnam, I had an exhilarating fishing adventure out at sea. When our boat anchored quite far from shore, I decided to take a bold step and swim back to land for the first time. The experience was incredible—combining the freedom of gliding through the water with the deep-seated fear of the open ocean created a powerful mix of emotions. Swimming amidst the waves and looking back at the distant boat, I felt a profound connection with nature and a unique sense of accomplishment as I faced and overcame my fear. It was truly an unforgettable highlight of my trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

In addition to my adventurous experiences, I work as a teacher specializing in interior design and architecture. My profession allows me to combine my love for creativity with a deep appreciation for the scientific aspects of the field. I am passionate about how architectural principles can be applied to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces. Teaching gives me the opportunity to share this passion with my students, helping them understand the intricate balance between design and scientific principles. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see my students develop their own skills and ideas, and to witness their excitement as they explore the endless possibilities within the world of architecture.
