About Me

I've a 26 year old Social Science graduate with a serious case of itchy feet and the desire to learn about different countries and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In a world where borders are strictly drawn and people get more and more hostile to "outsiders", opening one's home freely whenever you can and being receptive to the kind of exchange that Couchsurfing promotes is a wonderful reminder of an enduring humanity. Sadly, I am not able to host at the moment as I do not have a fixed base at the moment but I definitely hope to do so in future, as I strongly believe in the reciprocal nature of this platform. I I think connecting with locals in the city you're heading to is always the best way to get the most out of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Deciding one day in advance, to take a road trip through Norway and sticking our mattress in the back of the car where we slept very comfortably for that week on the road.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: If you are interested in learning more about India, I'd be happy to share my knowledge on my own country whether in terms of talking politics, cooking an Indian meal, recommending good Indian literature or doing some yoga.

Learn: I love learning about new cultures, whether it is in terms of history, food or culture. I would also love to know more about the city I am travelling in from a local, from sights and food recommendations to customs and traditions

Share: A love for travel, exchanging stories and mutual respect.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope to have a chance to share my culture and interests with my host. I am friendly and easy-going without being intrusive and while I would enjoy spending time with my host, exchanging conversation and doing some exploring with them, I also like having my own space to discover a place so having a balance is important to me
