About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To live outside of my comfort zone; to meet new people, cultures, landscapes that help to reinforce the idea that traveling is the only way to beat time.

ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in northern Patagonia Argentina, in a city called Cipolletti.
Some time ago, I moved to Buenos Aires to study and work, and after almost 10 years of living there, I decided to go chase the road and I have been traveling all over the American continent for 5 years hitchhiking from south to north.
Today, finally I decided to jump to the old continent in search of my roots and new cultures.
I am a simple, fun, cheerful and honest person. Above all, I firmly believe in respect for values, people and nature.
I am passionate about football, listening to music, chatting and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY
It is difficult to explain in a few lines so I think it best to summarize it through two of my favorite poems:
"The road not taken", Robert Frost.
"!Queda Prohibido!", Alfredo Cuervo Barrero also attribuited to Pablo Neruda.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I started as a host of CS, I enjoyed the idea of receiving people from all over the world, who would tell me their stories, and to whom I could show my home, my family and my country.
CS from the very beginning brought me great experiences and people into my life.
When it was my turn to become a traveler, I had the pleasure of being hosted by wonderful people who opened the doors of their home and treated me like a friend.
Not only I think the CS's philosophy is great to bring people together, but also still has great potential to be discovered.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I was still living in my country, I used to host people and link myself to the groups through activities when I had time available. As a traveler, I always try to connect in a deeper level with my hosts and also join the groups and activities of the places I visit.
But above all, I try to bring CS to all those people who do not know it yet.

Interests

I enjoy outdoor activities; have a relax moment while listening to music; watch movies (all kind); although I'm not the greatest sportsman, I love playing football; when I feel inspired, I love to draw; etc etc..
Honestly, I am very curious and my interests grow day by day!

Music, Movies, and Books

BOOKS
"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley; Carlos Castaneda and his saga about the Shaman Don Juan Matus;
"Open Veins of Latin America" by Eduardo Galeano ... although I think my favorite will always be "Call of the Wild" by Jack London.

MUSIC
Super difficult to summarize ..
I could move from "Carlos Gardel" to "Mamady Keita" to "Pink Floyd" to "Rage Against The Machine" to "Otis Redding" in a minute. I am always willing to hear new things...

MOVIES
Another difficult one!
Fight Club, Forrest Gump, Back to the future, The clockwork orange, The Godfather, Fantasy (Disney), etc, etc, etc

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a really curious person and get interested in new things really easy. That's why I don't consider myself as an expert on many things, but I do consider myself a pretty knowledgeable person.
I could teach you about graphic design (that's what I do), but that would be a bit boring!
Maybe it would be better if I teach you about percussion... even though I'm not a musician, I love drums and I do have my rhythm :) or juggling (I can be very clowny if you really get to know me), I worked for a little while as a silversmith so I know a lot about wax carving and casting metals, I helped a few families to prepare for winter in Canada chopping wood with an axe, so I learned a bit about Spruces, Cedars, Douglas Fur and how to read the lines of a tree...
Anyways, not an expert but very curious and I probably will get interested in your hobbies too :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very respectful person, with great empathy and sense of humor. I love sharing/hearing stories (my grandpa was a great storyteller and I developed a passion for hearing new ones), speak about life, cook together while listening good music and maybe sharing a nice wine or a hoppy Pale Ale.
Everywhere I go, I'm always grateful for meeting people with good values and honest hearts. That's why many of the CSurfers I met along the road (as a host or as a surfer), they are still my friends.
