ABOUT ME

I had put down a tag-line here as a stand-in for something while I considered what I wanted to say... and then I promptly forgot to fix it!

You want to know what kind of person I am? Here's a list of experiences:

-I'm the kind of person to give $20, not $5, to a stranger at a gas station because she needs a couple of gallons to get home.
-I enjoy boarding ships, keeping my country safe, and being physically prepared to place myself before anyone else's bodily harm.
-I may or may not have shoved a bowl of pudding into my friend's face (affectionately, of course) during a formal luncheon.
-I've microwaved s'mores for over two dozen kids who've never had them while out at sea.
-I have enjoyed the lack of light pollution, gazing up at the few constellations I know and the milky way we live in, while underway;.
-I have crashed the president of RPI's after-party for her Arethra Franklin concert.
-I've been cliff-diving, enjoy shooting the M500, M16, and 9mil.
-Fallout 3 was an excellent theme for my father's day several years ago. The entire family, to include my pregnant little sister, went paint-balling.
-I've met Max Brooks, chatted with him about his plan for after Z-Day, and now always have a contingency escape route wherever I go.
-I read like crazy and am usually found with at least one book. My friend lament every time I step into a bookstore since I can't walk out empty-handed.
-I've gone turtle hunting and blow-fish harpooning.
-With my family I've relaxed along the black sand beaches of Panama, and without my family have suffered the white sands of Virginia Beach.
-I experienced Cirque du Soleil and their amazing performance, twice.

All you really need to know about me? In the event of a zombie apocalypse, I'm your best bet for survival.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By building community wherever I go. Imagine a Disney princess, you know how flowers grow wherever she walks? Yeah, I do that with community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, unofficially I've couchsurfed with friends in NYC. My friend had friends and we crashed in their college dorm while we enjoyed the bankruptcy sales in the City! What's not to enjoy?

More recently, I've been "up to no good" with my local couchsurfers. We've been enjoying potlucks, BBQs, and general mischief.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I don't think this sounds lame, but several folks might think this is cliched, but THE most amazing thing I've experienced is seeing my baby sister laugh as an infant. It was the most careless, gleeful sound that bubbled from her chest and radiated from her eyes. It was the result of great love from me and my family and I adored it.
