ABOUT ME

I live alone with my 3 cats since Carbone 14 passed away in 2015 (he is in the picture), Pipola, Newton and Obama. I had two cats. Well since my 2012 birthday, I got two other cats. A child had become allergic to cats and I had promised the mother that I was going to send messages to everyone I knew. So I guess, I knew myself first because Newton and Obama are with us now. I'm not too talkative though I like to socialize. I do host my friends and try to fix an excellent dinner. Otherwise, my hobbies are reading (mostly novels), movies, plays, scrabble several times a day. I had not been to the Opera though, for years, I had wanted to see Madame Butterfly. Well, Raul, one of my former couchsurfers who stayed at my home from March till December and lives in the Paris area, offered me a ticket to go to the Opera. It was marvelous. Since then I bought a ticket to go and see Rigoletto in July 2020. I like to travel to go and see my family in France, my daughter and son in law in the USA. I also like safaris.

PHILOSOPHY

Trying not to want too much. Not interested by possessing a lot of material goods. But boy, would I love to be a better human being day after day. Perhaps I'm going in the right direction!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've got a three-room apartment located 20 minutes away from central Paris. If you don't mind sharing a couch with one, two, three cats, then you are welcome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been a hosting member for a few years. And I mostly enjoy it. At least 90 or more people have stayed at my apartment. I offer breakfast so Young people can leave my home with a full stomach. I do work very often from home and I like silence. Understand that I cannot, or it will be rare, to accompany you to show you the city but I can give advice. I expect couchsufers to leave in the morning to go and discover the city. Paris is a city where you can walk forever. You can sit in a park, go to a museum, enjoy a coffee somewhere. In the evening, couchsurfers can bring their dinner in and eat at my apartment. If I have food I will glady offer it and share it. If you come to my home accept to respect it so I will enjoy having new couchsurfers and you will enjoy your stay.

Usually when I leave to go on vacation I find someone from my network who does want to stay in the Paris area and have a free apartment against good care to the place and the cats of course.

ONE IMPORTANT THING TO MY SURFERS: NO SMOKING. NO ARRIVAL AFTER 10 PM.
AND BE CLEAN. I do not want to pick up hair in the bathroom after you or have to clean the sinks. THANK YOU.
