About Me
Yo, my name is Kev. I use to live in Colombia but am currently in Dublin. I'm a secondary school teacher and will be moving around a lot over the next few years looking for work. I love my work and love travelling. I love exploring, learning new things and meeting new people. I have been pretty flat out on that gig for the last year or so. I am a laid back person. I enjoy going out, socialising and chatting shit. I take my work seriously but I am pretty chilled about everything else. Please feel free to contact me about anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it is a gnarly way to explore new towns and meet people. There are a lot of interesting people here and I am not feeling the google/tripadvisor method of learning about towns. I also enjoy teaching people about where I'm from.

Music, Movies, and Books
Spotify playlists are categorised in to hip-hop and rap, rock and punk and South American music. My favourite book is 'Catcher in the Rye' but I spend most of my reading time getting through my students' reading lists. I also am having a new found love of American female poets. Sylvia Plath says some gnarly things. As for movies, I can watch pretty much anything depending on the mood. The only movies I can't watch are comedies that really are not funny, even to laugh at.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Learned the alphabet backwards and forwards as a child.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am all over all three of these. I normally teach English and geography but I also currently teach history and pretty much any subject I get asked to teach. I have always enjoyed teaching so I'm pretty lucky that people actually pay me to do it. Learning is a side effect of teaching. I learn from my students and my own research. I'm currently studying/practicing Spanish. I also regularly go to workshops to improve the quality of my teaching. And I am happy to share whatever I have!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a serious talent in doing dumb ass things and talking about them in entertaining stories. I am happy to help people out with learning English or anything geography related or Ireland related. Or anything I can help with. I am a pretty social person and a good party partner. I also place a lot of value in manners so I am super respectful and polite.
