About Me

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Kevin, I am an easy going guy who likes travelling and staying active. I really enjoy meeting outgoing and energetic people because they give me that extra boost that keeps me moving. I work shift work as a paramedic (emergency medical services - ambulance) and often have full days off during the week to show visitors around. I am excited to share my city with surfers. I used to use CS in my early 20's and it was such a big part of my travels. I always planned on hosting people but only now have gotten around to settling in my new flat. I live above retail stores so my place is lofty/industrial-ish. My neighbourhood is awesome, it's a great place to walk around. The west end of downtown which is where I live has lots of fun bars, restaurants, and stores. I am close to Liberty Village, Queen St West, King St West, Roncesvalles, and the lake (there is a great walking trail by the lake which gives you a nice view of the city and of our beloved CN Tower). The people in my area are a young professional / hipster kind of crowd but the area is gentrifying so you still will see all walks of life and a lot of character. I am always interested in exploring new places and here in Toronto it's an endless mission to find all the amazing spots.

PHILOSOPHY

When times gets tough:

- Everything always works itself out in the end so relax!

- It's hard to beat a person who never gives up

- If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito (I know, so cheesy... but true!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just do.. not really sure what this question was going for

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS is really a great way to meet new people, make new friends, and experience new cultures. My hosts have helped me really understand what different cultures around the world have to offer. Now that I have settled back in my hometown, I hope I can provide the same for surfers!

Interests

I love music. I am trained in the saxophone and picked up a little guitar on my own.

I am also really into sports. I play a lot of soccer (football, for my European friends), and squash.
