About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world, one couch at a time
ABOUT ME
Hmmmm let's see... Stockton, California, born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chillin' out maxin', relaxin' all cool, shooting some bball outside the school...(Fresh Prince of Bel Air reference, sorry)...I like to think of myself as a funny, easy-going guy, always on the lookout for a new/fun experience.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a Christian, so I live my life for God. "Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all for the glory of God"--1 Corinthians 10:31.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed in a few different countries while traveling and also when I moved out to Phoenix for my job when I didn´t know a soul. I also hosted quite a few people with my college roommates while finishing up school at UCLA.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I got hooked on it while surfing in Costa Rica, and it's been great hosting people from all over the world in Los Angeles...it's the best way to dive right in to a new place and culture
Interests
Sports (particularly basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee...I also played soccer and badminton in high school, but it has been a while since then), chess, sharing stories and getting to know people

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies--I normally like anything that goes against the normal mold of Hollywood movies. Anything that makes you look at something in a new way.
Music--I probably prefer hip hop and R&B, but I like anything you can sing or dance to.
Books--Some favorites in no order at all: Flatland, Catch 22, Dracula, Mere Christianity, The Hunchback of Notre Dame
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, and it was probably the single-most horrifying event of my life, but worth every minute of it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well I guess I'm somewhat qualified to teach the things I am moderately good at. So shooting a basketball or throwing a frisbee, maybe. I'm also a pretty strong chess player and I have been told I am a good teacher by more than one of the hundreds of kids I taught how to play in Phoenix Arizona (it was my job for a year). I might also have some seemingly worthless mathematical knowledge, as well...I want to learn how to cook more! I can currently rock a mean pasta plus meat dish, but it pretty much ends there.
