Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Number one, it's cheap. Safe bet that's number one for everyone. But secondly, it is not as coldly transactional as paying for a place to stay is. The debt is repaid with gratitude, effort, and gift giving. Couch surfing is a system more honest to our human core.
