About Me
Hello there!
My name is Kevin Castro. I am from Cali, Colombia. I grew up in the U.S. (California and Florida) and, after about 12 years, I moved back to Colombia. Finished up my studies, became an English teacher (Since 2012), and got married! I am a Christian, now living in Takayama, Japan and working as an English teacher to kids and adults. Teaching English is definitely a passion of mine. I like to describe myself as an extroverted introvert, meaning that I am more of a listener than a talker, but I do like to hang out and do fun things!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with people and get a first-hand look at the culture of the country you're in. Cultural exchange is a big thing that people tend to take for granted. People tend to think that when you're traveling to another country, you should just walk around and take in the sights and probably party it up, but there's much more to it than that. Being able to stay with someone in their home and have nice and open conversations about the country, the culture and the language is truly a unique experience and one that you will always remember!
