About Me

My wife and I are fellow travelers, and we'd like to open up our apartment to help people like ourselves who like traveling, but don't want to pay the crazy amount hotels charge in the city just for a place to rest their heads at night.

Nothing should stop people from exploring the countries and cities that intrigue them.

LA can be an expensive but great city, and if we can help people discover that by providing someone a place to crash and some restaurant/sightseeing recommendations, we're happy to do so.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Trying to meet new people from all around the world, and learn and share cultures and conversation.

Want to help people navigate what can often be a crazy, sprawling city -- but one that's full of beautiful scenery and neighborhoods, good food, and nice people.

Interests

I enjoy writing, reading (mostly nonfiction), playing sports like baseball, basketball, or football.

I like hearing stories and sharing anecdotes over wine and good food.

I love learning about most everything. We live in such amazing times, and information is so readily available. I like taking advantage of that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the crooners like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Tony Bennett. Also love Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, and The Who.

I like classic movies, and love watching a movie that makes me want to watch it over again after the credits roll to get everything I missed.

I like non fiction books like Freakonomics or Blink that challenge the way I think about something. Sometimes it's really nice to be proven completely wrong or have your mind blown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I played baseball on the "Field of Dreams" in Dyersville, Iowa.
