About Me
October 2023 Update:
Been a while since the pandemic but feels good to be back! It's been 6 months now that I graduated from my Electrical Engineering bachelor (minor in Biomedical Eng) and I've been working ever since. Nowadays I'm still heavily involved in NGO work, notably with Engineers Without Borders Canada with whom I've been a member for about 8 years now but also INM, Oxfam Quebec and soon enough ADRA Canada hopefully. My biggest goal as of now is truly to intersect my professional career to my humanitarian journey and make it a lifestyle.
That being said, leisure and hobby wise I spent the summer doing hikes, playing spikeball and disc golf (such a fun sport!) and I'm developing a strong passion for Escape Room - still a fan of thinking outside the box and getting my brain juice flowing.
Time permitting, looking forward to meet and connect with many of you! Shalom.
September 2019 Update:
Always funny to comeback here and see what I wrote about me then; what changed and what is still accurate these days. Life's a journey and we're always growing as individual!
As of now, I'm a 25 years old engineering student from Montreal. I played American football for 10 years and kept a somehow active lifestyle. Nowadays however, I'm honestly constantly juggling with society impulsed pressure such, working, studying, etc., but also projects managing; I'm an activist at heart and I try to give back to my surrounding through community involvement. I'm always up for a discussion touching renewable energies, humanitarian development, social norms, emotions and psychology, and on the more laid back and casual side, I enjoy doing nature related activities, get lost discovering pretty landscape and experiencing local culture. Ultimately, from powering my own house to growing my own food, God willing, I plan to one day be as self-sufficient as possible!
** I'm currently sharing my place with four roommates therefore hosting is not possible at the moment but truly looking forward to a future where I can! **
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Being an open-minded and curious person, Couchsurfing gives individuals the opportunity to meet people from all over the world contrary to a hotel room. It's a wonderful way to discover one's culture and beliefs and allow both individuals to get to see the world from another perspective.
I feel like this in itself is a blessing that should be valued and I'm truly looking forward to start exchanging and sharing with individuals who feel the same way!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a wide variety of musical genre from classical to trance, French rap to RnB, reggae to funk rock, etc. All in all my favourite artist is KB and at the moment I rotate between Kendrick, Hans Zimmer's chores, Hudley and Odesza. This will probably change tomorrow.
Movies are harder to pick than series *cough* Games Of Thrones, Black Mirror, Mindhunter.. *cough* but I'd mention titles made by Nolan or Tarantino such Interstellar, Pulp Fiction, Inception, The Hateful Eight, etc. To this list I'd add Woodland, movie based on a true story relating the events of a small university of Alabama in the 70s dealing with extreme racial tension and Christianity. Also, SW7 was a disgrace, Rogue One was solid, Thanos was the best villain ever made and ''I. Am. Ironman''.
Lastly, trying to stay concise I'll say 1984 book wise just because of how easy it is to share and talk over. If you haven't read it, I strongly advise you to! Without going into details, the way George Orwell book's overlaps aspects of today's society is simply mind-blowing. The 5 Love Language is also a great read for anyone wanting to work and dissect over their interpersonal relationships. Many of us navigate in this world not knowing how we want to be appreciated and loved but furthermore how we display affection to our friends, lovers, family ourselves. We could talk about it for daysssssss, its very interesting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taking in consideration that amazing isn't a synonym of well thought off;
I've got a student internship for France while away for a month at my parent house. Upon coming back at mines, I had 5 days to move out from old place to my new one (lease was terminating), get my plane ticket, find where I'll stay in France, make my luggage and get my internship paper signed (without it I could be turned back at the border). Managed to get everything done in the first 4 days and ultimately get a university official to sign the international convention 9 hours before my departure flight (they were ALL in vacations).. Nowadays I can sleep with my room door wide open and my feet hanging over my bed, nothing stress me anymore.
On the more serious side, I went on an international cooperation project in Rwanda for 4 months where we built a health post with the local community. Most humbling, genuine and touching experience of a my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teaching and learning languages is always a funny and joyful experience.
On the deeper side, discussing cultural norms and society standards is also a very insightful thing. If anything, do we dictate our environment or it is our surrounding that influence us? Furthermore, is it that black and white?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting talks and funny vibes; I'm said to be an introvert yet sociable person with an open-minded spirit. I'm always looking forward to learn and exchange on one's culture, thoughts and beliefs.
